OPTION DESCRIPTIONS
| 1. | This item applies to <Business>, <Home> and <Other> fax numbers. Any one of these options only become enabled if the corresponding field has been selected for export. If selected, you have the option to stipulate a <prefix> that will be stripped from the corresponding field before it is exported. This is to deal with those situations where a prefix was added to one of the <fax> fields so that it does not show in the Outlook address book. Using this option also enables you to export your fax fields without having to reset your current Outlook data prior to exporting it thereby minimizing potential problems. Prefixes used within Outlook to circumvent the showing of fax numbers within the OAB are generally not included (or desired) in any standard database. |
| 2. | Enter the prefix to be deleted from the <beginning> of any fax number. This value will not be deleted if it is found within the fax phone number itself (i.e. when alphanumeric <vanity> numbers are used) |
| 3. | Indicate whether or not you wish Company Name's to be standardized prior to being exported. Outlook, by default, will automatically change any company name entered as "The Company" to "Company, The" when a new contact/company name is entered. CGX will transpose any company name as follows: |
from "Company, The" TO "The Company"
from "The Company" TO "Company, The"
| 4. | Indicates whether or not any line break characters <CR> and/or <LF> are to be stripped from a contact's BODY field (otherwise referred to as the Notes field) |
| 5. | Character to replace any <CR><LF> combination or individual <CR> and <LF> characters found. If no replacement character is entered, these characters will be replaced with a space character. |
There are 4 specific words that CGX Basic will transpose (The, Le, La, El). CGX Advanced/Premium enables you to add any number of additional words to the transposition list. There is no documentation available as to how Outlook handles Company Name in terms of transposition words.
