The <Process Now> button becomes enabled once at least one field has been mapped. If the Import Mode is <Update> or <Delete>, at least one mapped field must be selected as a Key field.

Create Prev Log:
This option is only available when the Import mode is set to <Update> otherwise it will not be visible. Selecting either one of the available options provided will result in a Microsoft Access database file being created <cgpreview.mdb> in the log file folder location found in the General Defaults screen (see Setting General Defaults)
In addition to the creation of the MS Access preview database, the results can also optionally be saved to a CSV text file. Once the process has been completed, you will be asked if you wish to save the results allowing you to select the destination and file name for the resulting files for future reference.
Compare Pre-Update Values
This option will create two tables in the CGPreview.mdb file. The first contains the values of any mapped field with differences in the source (data being imported) and the destination contact folder (folder where data is being imported to).
There will be a single field for each <Update Key Field> included at the start of the <UpdPreview> table (since Key field values MUST be identical between the source and destination sources). This will be followed by 2 fields in the table for each field mapped showing the value in the source and destination files. Fields that are the same in the two fields will be blank.
A maximum of 120 fields can be mapped when using the <Create Preview Log> function. This 120 field limit is exclusive of fields selected as <Update Key Fields> which should not exceed 12 in number.
This comparison does not reflect the actual <before> and <after> changes that may occur on the actual contact item had the actual import function taken place. It only identifies the differences in field values between the source and destination files/folders. General default settings impact how various fields will actually be updated in the contact item (i.e. FileAs, EmailDisplayAs, Body/Notes, Keywords etc). No contact items are physically updated when this option is selected.
The second table that is also automatically created is for <Duplicates> as defined under <Summarize Dupes> below.
Summarize Dupes
This option results in the creation of a <Duplicates> table in the <CGPreview.mdb> log file with one entry for each <Unique Duplicate> found in both the source and destination files/folders (see definition of Unique Dupes in Import Statistics). Each entry (record) in this table will contain
Whether it is from the Source or Destination file/folder
# of Total Duplicates found (see definition of Total Duplicates in Import Statistics)
One field for each Update Key specified in the field map.
*** When selecting either <Create Preview Log> option, all records are processed at all times whether in evaluation or registered mode
Save As Template:
The last step in the process is to select whether or not this import criteria set is to be saved for future use.
